I will have to talk to my manager.
I have 4 weekends in Sydney before this so I'll have to put up a convincing argument.

I like this club - great racing down there but have a wedding up here to attend - have fun in the sun :)

That's too warm! I might have to either stop in Spain or keep going to Tasmania to hit that climate sweet spot.

Are there race details posted somewhere? A quick google just turns up our Valkyrie Vikings list of upcoming races. :)
See the link in the first post. No grading details but Saturday is a handicap so everyone gets a decent race.

Entered. Weekend at the coast with a bit of bike racing - how could it not be fun?! Hope the race involves some hills though or us Bright riders will feel a little, um, flat. ;-)

Kate and I are planning to race...we will be staying at Mystery Bay. BTW, I don't think the Mystery Bay Velodrome actually exists - old fisherman's tale!!!

Great course!
Heads west out of Moruya on the Araluen Road, turns at the end of the tar (9ks) and returns, as you come over the bridge over the Moruya river, you come up a hill, at the top there is a left turn which goes goes down to a dead end just before the river, turn and ride back to the intersection and turn right, repeat as required.
The course is very bumpy and makes for interesting racing. It will take a lot of discipline and good judgement from riders to hold the optimum handicap bunch together.
To get to the course you head into Moruya from the north, straight down the main street, just after the Air Raid Tavern on the right there is a roundabout. Turn right there and you're on the road to Araluen. You pass the Gundary Store which is a great cafe on the left as you head out on the road. You may as well stop there and have pre and post ride coffees, then ride on to the course.
I've got especially fond memories of riding that course. We Vikings also won the Waratah Shield there as the top scoring masters club of NSW.

I just rode the course yesterday afternoon at Moruya - felt like LOTS of rolling hills over the short distance. I didn't realise it was laps of a short course, so got to where it turns to gravel and thought 'It didn't say anything about racing on gravel - surely there's a mistake been made here, maybe I've got the wrong place.' Went and talked to the nice man in the Moruya bike shop and he explained it all :) I was relieved! And I found out why it's called the Goodies classic - run by Bruce Goodspeed!
Entries close tomorrow....lots of Vikings going!

Numbers are a bit disappointing. I thought this would be a really popular event. Maybe the option to register on the day has a lot of people hedging their bets.
On the upside, maybe with the smaller numbers they'll opt for running the crit on the dedicated off-road course. Have always wanted to race on that.
See youse down there.
Where are people staying? I'm at the Riverside Caravan park. Who's keen for a VCC Saturday night BBQ?

We're staying to at the Riverbreeze Tourist Park in Moruya. Think some other Vikings/Valkyries are staying there too. Sat night BBQ sounds good.
I mean riverbreeze, yes, that's the one.

LOL - yes it's been a profitable 8 days of bike racing for me. Let's just not break down my winnings per training km...
Tegan won the WB crit and Ches came 4th I think. Kate Huckstep had a good race in WA, working hard to help me for my win. Brad and Rob had their work cut out for them in the MB crit, with an early break forming and none of the other teams helping with the chase with each of them having a representative in the breakaway. Pretty sure Brad and Rob both got a pretty solid workout out of it all! Tim, Tony and Nige also had a good race in MC, with Tim narrowly missing out on a podium. Nice work everyone! What a fun weekend of racing.

Hi all
Brad asked me to post some of the photos from the crit.
I raced womens B and after a hard day on Saturday working with the other Vikings riders in my group my legs were sad but I worked and did some attacks and had a good race. Congrats to all who participated it was a great weekend of racing.
Sorry I only have photos of my race taken by my partner and his race (mens B) taken by me but we got some other Vikings riders in the shots.

Hi all, I was talking to the Goodies today before shootin' some green tubes out the back body surfin. Surprise'n most of the groms are back on stand-ups these days.
Anyway, Mr Bruce Goody was happy with the numbers that came down for the Eurobodalla event. Vanessa Goody was singing praises for the inclusiveness of the Sirens team at Bright.
And the M8 guy that won the handicap was a Belgian ex-pro who had won the Tour of Flanders back in the '70s.
Next year they'll be a tick box on the entry - "for handicapping purposes tick here if you have ever ridden professionally"
