Happy Birthday, Supercoach Derek. Wow, what a year it's been! I thought 08 was as good as it could get (except for the bung ribs and lung), but once again you inspired my old carcass to go faster than it's ever gone before and to bring home first a National Championship and then a Rainbow jersey! I'm looking forward to our next 12 months of teamwork and friendship as well as the odd adrenalin rush.

Thanks for all the kind birthday wishes everyone. For your info I'm no longer an accredited coach (Long story). to answer Sue I'm too old to remember it all but the big ones include 1 junior world record, 3 junior world champs and a number of senior/world events and records courtesy of riders who progressed into the AIS and professional teams. One of these acheivers was Nathan Page of Underbelly fame, the others you probably all know.

Actually some of the old vikings recruits would be keen on any superguestcoaching session or just riding/racing together sometime with the MACT boys and girls - I really appreciated Terri M's tips for instance when we rode together in the Road Champs earlier this year.
