Any details? I've heard unofficially that Eric may have won MC. Who else did it and what was it like? Nice day for it (if a bit windy).

the only thing I won was for having the highest HR on record.
Nah. I got smashed on MC. Brad and Bec was in the final bunch sprint, of which I got no details. Coz I was dropped on the last hotdog turn. :)

Eric, Bec and I were out numbered by CCC and Quon riders from the start. With only one other girl in the race Bec new exactly who she had to beat but Eric and I had a lot of people to get the better of.
The pace was solid but good from the start with a head wind and a slight rise most of the way to Glenn Loch interchange and a nice fast return back to civic. Eric attacked on I think the third lap so I thought to we should see if we could get a V Mobile break away. It didn't stick as another two riders had made the jump and then the bunch shut us down. After a little while Eric was back on the front and I was on his wheel once he pulled off the front I took over I thought Eric was behind me so I surged on a rise a got a gap on the bunch which was easier than I thought it would be but after a bit I realise it was a CCC rider not Eric. So I dropped back into the bunch and waited. On the last lap I start to move back to the front and by the end of the last return trip to Civic I was third wheel and in the perfect position for the sprint. We turned the hotdog turn I clicked into an easier gear as I mis judged the gear. Once I had change I hit it looked up and the two CCC riders had just sat up and were not pushing up to the finish line so I hesitated and then punched it again but the distance to the finish line was to far with the head wind and the sight rise I was swapped by other riders and my race was over.
But hey I had a good time and thats racing.

This race was my first road race in a LONG time & I had a blast - thanks to Francesca, Anna & Tegan :) We started in E with one extra gal (tri gal I think Brad referred to in other post). They started D & E together & we seemed to stay mostly together till the first climb up that rise at turn 2, where I picked a bad wheel & slid off the front group. Once in the wind I couldn't chase the group down & watch the group ride away, thinking that I was going to hate the rest of the race - riding the remaining 45kms as an ITT. I could see a couple of E graders, including the new gal hanging on the back of the D grade bunch. Then at the next turn around I saw the Valkyries riding as a group so sat up & waited. They were lovely & very inviting so I hoped on the V train & we worked for the rest of the race together.
I was really impressed with the girls - they all rode really well & were so friendly. We picked up a couple of guys along the way who mostly sat in then sprinted off near the end :( So thanks girls for making my first bunch race back loads of fun :)
Now if I can work it out how, I'll upload a photo from the start....
if I fail this just demonstrates my lack of computer know-how!

What sort of 'guy' sits in a girl-train and sprints them at the end?
