What do grumpy cyclists do when it rains all day? Enter races to give them enough mojo to get on some form of stationary bike to train...
Anyone else off to Cootamundra Aug 27/ 28? Entries close this Sunday.

Welcome back Libby. Al Bontjer usually makes the pilgrimage to Coota!

I've entered, but not 100% sure I will make it, for what will be my 24th start in this race.
Are the Vmaxxers keen for this race? And which day? There's a contingent of Valkyries keen to go but we are a bit split on the days...

Can't make it this time, I'll be in NY.
I'll bet this will be the time that bunch 4 gets up (when I'm not there).
Hey Libby it looks like we have me and Dees keen for the 106km on sat and Lisa K and AngeB keen for the Sunday. Which one did you enter?

Ride the big one on the Sat, it's allways a great race with a lot of atmosphere
especially with the new course, will be lot's of viewing spots for spectators.
Any idea of profile/flatness?

There's only two hills, to speak of. One near the start, which isn't too problematic.
The second hill is about half way (right Sluggo?) That's a bit nastier, but not steep. The danger is if a faster bunch catches on or just before the climb and you can't latch on.
After that it's (almost) all down hill. Which is great...but also bad. If it all comes together you have 100 riders thinking that they can win. If that happens...go to the back and let the big guns slog it out.

Well, if I can manage to hang on (new course) it can't be too bad.

Rach, I've entered both days. Keen to know if anyone else wants to stay up there Saturday night.
Compared to around here, beautifully flat - just a few little rolling rises by memory. If they use the same course as I've ridden before on the Sunday, then there are a few hills.
have fun in NY Scott - jealous.
Sluggo - surely you cant miss it with that sort of record!? No wonder they all know your name.

Libby, the new 'Coota' course is similar to the Sunday Recovery race excempt instead of turning back towards town on the first lap, you'll do a big loop towards Wallenbeen then come back on do the reverse of the Recovery race, and when you get back into town you tackle the 'Suicide Hill' in reverse,
anyone who rode this years Haycarters race will remember, it's pretty steep, bit like Mt Tennant , you then do the same big loop in the direction of Coolac again. Hope that makes sense, this course is not a fast one like the old traditional course, it's gunna be a bit of a slog, in my opinion, lot's of climbing

Thanks Sluggo - I didnt realise they'd changed the course...and might have misled Deciana on the number of hills. Sorry D!

The course is not super hard, will be a worthy winner, it's very 'doable'
