View Full Version : Washing the beast!
Ok,..this may sound silly but,..genuine question,.... I have always dry washed/cleaned my bike,..as in use Mr Sheen etc,.... as I wasn't too sure if I could "wet" wash my bike,.....apparently you can so,.... when washing the bike using water/soap etc,... is there anything you should be wary off?,... mixture ratios of detergentto water?,.... where to and where not to get water?, (can water get into the cassette bearings?, Bottom bracket bearings or are they sealed units?).... that type of thing,....

I just use car wash detergent - give it a good scrub and bath, a bit of de-greaser for the chain and cluster, hose it off...lube up and away you go. Seems to work for me.

If you're rinsing, don't squirt hard around bearings or they'll end up with water in them.
