The Red Bull Mini Drome race will take place at York Hall in Bethnal Green on 15 January. It'll be open to all ages. 105 pre-registered riders will be selected at random to compete in qualifying, which will consist of a single 10-lap timed race. Non-registered riders can take a turn once they've finished.

I was just saying to the guys yesterday we need a mini flat-track velodrome opposite the SFP pavillion for the older kids and crit rider warm up purposes.

I'd like to see a match sprint on that track.

might have had an easier time riding a rigid s/s MTB with 165 cranks and fat slicks for those boards. As the falls were all from running wide in the straight, the track needs more bank on the 'straights'.

if they were doing 'up to 80 kmh' I was doing 200 on Northbourne this morning.
