new helmet light has arrived!!!

Some of you may remember Kerry of Bike Culture fame. Well he is turning out led lights as well. I'd purchased his first bar only one from Cutter Electronics and built it up. Now he has the next generation that is small, light and available pre-built. It is so se><y :rainbowdance: you can see mine this Friday or purchase yours from: http://cncdelite.com/
Is it as good as an AY-UP? You'll have to wait I only just unpacked the parcel. :blush:

According to the visual comparison on the website my vote is with the Ay-Up. Looks like those things would blind ya!

I would say they're about even since they both use the same make of LED though I think the Ay-Ups use a slightly more powerful version where as the cncdelite has 3 LEDs. The also cncdelite uses a current controller rather than a resister which I think the Ay-Ups use (current contoller is more efficent across a wide range of temperatures). On tech specs I would go with the cncdelite but in terms of looks and the mounting bracket it would be the Ay-Ups everytime

Looks like these are a fair bit brighter than ayups, but I'm not sure that's really necessary for road riding. Why though, can't anyone make a decent mount?
