For those of you out there with iphones - having any probs?

I got my iphone (which I have loved) in Sept & it started playing up (poor reception) in Nov at which time 3 sent it to Apple who said 'we stand by our phones' & promptly gave me a new one. All seemed great again until the past week or so when I wouldn't be able to call out but it would work again when turned on & off. Then yesterday it died! Had no service & could no send or receive calls. After 1.5hrs on the phone (landline) to 3 customer care last night it worked again after a factory reset. Thought all was good but then today it has again died, has no service & thus can make/receive no calls.

I don't know what I could possibly have done to end up with 2 faulty iphones. It now needs to go back to apple & be replaced again... My bad luck or a faulty phone type???

The ridiculous thing is I went out yesterday morning & bought a mac laptop as I was so impressed with the iphone & apple in general....hope it's not a dud too.

Let me finish off my rant by saying this couldn't have happened at a worse time as I am leaving Canberra at 6am on hols & thus will not be able to go into my 3 shop & have the phone sent off. So I have the best part of the nxt 2 wks with no phone or with a spasmodically working phone :(

Just buy a cheapie and move the sim card over till you can sort it out ,you can pick phones up for under $100.00.

Not sure if your 3 sim will work in a 2g phone. I tried and failed.

I had a similar problem with a different brand and they kept on replacing faulty phones with re-conditioned used phones.

I've got the 3GS model and had no problems with mine. Was munching a bit of battery last week, so I reset it and that seemed to put it in a better place.

It is working spasmodically - am now checking Internet but couldn't even use the phone most of yesterday. It is a 3GS but sim works fine in older pink phone. Will sort it when back home.
